MR TENNIS Team

MR Tennis is a fun, tennis coaching academy that is suitable for people of any age, skill or experience. MR Tennis was formed by head coach, Martin Richards, in 1997 at the Broadview Tennis Club. We are accredited deliverers of ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, Fitbit Cardio Tennis, Fast 4 and Get Your Racquet On, with group, private and squad lessons available every day of the week. We also accept sports vouchers, a government initiative to get more kids involved in sport!

  • 1980 to 1988: State junior tennis competitor
  • 1986: Pizzey Cup Team Championship
  • 1986 - current: Pennant/Premier League/State League (Broadview since 1991)
  • 1987-88: 18 and under Linton Cup team
  • 1988-92: Tour professional competing in ITF/ATP tour tournaments, reaching a ranking of 669 in 1991
  • 1993 to 1998: German Club Tennis in Hildesheim
  • 1997-98: Burr Medal Winner (Tennis SA Best and Fairest)
  • 2003-04: German Club Tennis Gottingen
  • 2006 to 2009: Australian 35 team representative (Italia Cup)
  • 2011 & 2013-14: Australian 40 team representative (Tony Trabert Cup)
  • 2012: World ITF 40+ ranking No. 9 of July
  • 2013-14: Llyeton Hewitt Award - Best performed State League Player
  • 2015-16: State League Championship
  • 2020 - Oceania championship
